Workshop: Advanced Statistical Method for evaluating the health effects of environmental exposures and climate change

May 19, 2025
Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Applications "G. Parenti"

Campus Morgagni F, Room 205, 2th floor

Overview

This workshop aims to discuss current research projects we are working on within and outside the Multi-Country Multi-City (MCC) Collaborative Research Network (https://mccstudy.lshtm.ac.uk/) to share and discuss different perspectives and methods of analysing the short-term effects of health of environmental exposure.

In particular, it will discuss how to model the impact on the health of pollutants and meteorological phenomena related to climate change, such as tropical cyclones or changes in temperature distribution.

Different methods will be presented and discussed, from classical regression-based models for time series to new developments based on causal inference.

The workshop will have a format with brief talks introducing the topic and methods followed by an open discussion to exchange ideas and different perspectives.

Registration

The event is free, but registration is required for logistic purposes.
Register here by May 15, 2025.
